Lost Dogs (43 of 53)The Home receives no government assistance. We have an annual operating budget of $10 million. This is how much it costs The Lost Dogs’ Home to operate all of its services. Members of the community and companies make generous donations to The Lost Dogs’ Home so we can continue our vital work. People can also leave us a gift as part of their Will or give on a regular basis as part of our PAWS program.

The Home runs a Fundraising Program consisting of four appeals each year. Our two main appeals are at Christmas and Winter times.

While cash donations are vital to The Home, we also rely heavily on gifts of pet food, blankets and towels to keep the animals comfortable during their stay.  A warm blanket or coat can make the world of difference.

During the lead up to Christmas we also run a Christmas Pet Food Appeal in conjunction with Safeway/Woolworth’s. Members of the public can leave pet food for the Home in collection bins placed in over 100 stores.
